The National Black Justice Coalition (NBJC), a civil rights organization dedicated to empowering Black lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) people, will hold their second annual OUT on the Hill Black LGBT Leadership Summit in Washington, D.C. The summit, which will be attended by approximately 100 Black LGBT leaders and advocates from around the country, aims to mobilize members of the Black community around social issues while also engaging with governmental figures about Black LGBT public policy concerns.

Designed to coincide with the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation’s Annual Legislative Conference, Out on the Hill runs Sept. 20 to 25.

The conference will feature a range of panel discussions, a Black LGBT Leaders Day at the White House and an advanced screening of the Sundance Film Festival’s PARIAH, the coming-out story of a black lesbian youth, executive produced by Academy Award nominee Spike Lee.

ELIXHER will be present at the summit. Follow us on Twitter for updates!
