A donation was made to the Galveston County Sheriff’s Office and Crime Stoppers to be used as a reward for information leading to the vehicle belonging to one of two women found dead last month. The Living Faith Covenant Church and local activist C.D. Kirven raised a little over $800 during a vigil held for Britney Cosby and Crystal Jackson, a lesbian couple murdered and left near a dumpster.
The silver 2006 Kia Sorento SUV is considered key evidence in the investigation into their deaths. According to the Galveston County Sheriff’s Office, it appears the murders of the two women happened in the home of James Cosby, the father of one of the victims who allegedly was not supportive of his daughter being gay. James Cosby has been arrested and charged with two counts of tampering with evidence. Investigators expect to upgrade the charges to capital murder after forensic tests are completed and they locate the couple’s missing car and a possible accomplice.
If you have any information regarding the missing vehicle, please contact the Galveston County Crime Stoppers at 409-763-8477 or the Sheriff’s Office TIP line at 866-248-8477.
